The collection takes Springboard in a whole new direction.
Working surface expert, Springboard, proudly introduces DOURO, a new collection of vertical and horizontal collaboration tools inspired by Portugal’s Douro Valley, a picturesque region known for its sloped terrain and winding vineyards. Designed with soft, rounded edges, DOURO is reminiscent of the valley’s rambling hills, rendering the pieces to look more like furniture than traditional collaboration tools. DOURO also interprets the valley’s natural textures through honest materials like birchwood and stainless steel, evoking a sense of warmth not typically found in other working surfaces. As the industry gravitates toward comforting, homey environments, DOURO is the perfect addition to residential-inspired spaces, whether at home or in a public place.
The DOURO launch also marks the introduction of horizontal working surfaces to Springboard’s product family. In addition to an angular mobile easel and a wall-mounted whiteboard, DOURO features two dry-erase meeting tables and a writable desk, blurring the lines between furnishings and working surfaces. DOURO’s horizontal boards also promote collaboration and imagination while offering an efficient solution to space-conscious working and learning environments. Designed to flourish in a variety of commercial and residential spaces including education, offices, healthcare, home offices, and more, DOURO provides more creative ways to communicate.
Dry Erase Meeting Table
Combining traditional furniture design with a collaboration tool, DOURO Meeting Table allows small groups to share ideas on the same horizontal surface. Topped with a durable melamine resin surface and birchwood trim, the Meeting Table is a blank canvas for analog communication. It’s also supported by curved tubular steel legs that echo the rounded nature of the DOURO Collection. Available in both regular and high top variations, the tables seat four and two people, respectively, and each come with a center cutout for cable management. DOURO Meeting Table is 720 mm (28”) tall and 2,100 mm wide (83”) while the High Top is 1,080 mm (43”) tall and 1,200 mm (47”) wide.
Dry Erase Desk
Students are typically dissuaded from writing on their desks, but DOURO’s Dry Erase Desk makes that a thing of the past. Designed with Meeting Table’s same melamine surface, birchwood trim, and stainless steel legs, the Desk is designed for individual brainstorming and organization. Intended for learning environments of all kinds, the Desk caters to visual and kinesthetic learners, allowing them to materialize ideas and interact with their environment. DOURO Desk features a cable management cutout at the top of the writing surfaces. DOURO Dry Erase Desk is 740 mm (29”) tall and 1,500 mm (59”) wide.
Mobile Easel
DOURO Mobile Easel is an angular, moveable writing surface suited for residential and commercial spaces alike. Designed with a 4 mm ultra-clear white premium glass surface, Mobile Easel leaves no marker streaks. Mobile Easel comes with chromed steel legs, a stainless steel tray, and a birch plywood frame, reflecting the natural materials and textures found in today’s design trends. Mobile Easel also comes with three locking castors for easy mobility and stability and is 1,850 mm (73”) tall and 700 mm (28”) wide.
Glass Writing Board
The wall-mounted sister product to DOURO Mobile Easel, DOURO Glass Writing Board is a ghost-free 4 mm glass surface. Trimmed with birchwood—that makes the piece look like a picture frame—and a stainless steel tray for markers and erasers, the Writing Board takes a warm approach to wall-mounted working surfaces. Designed to look natural in any home or work environment, the Writing Board’s mounting hardware is hidden for a free floating effect and is 900 mm (35”) tall and 1,200 mm (47”) wide.
The DOURO Collection has a flat-pack design, which is easily shippable through UPS/FedEx. This shipping process eliminates bulky, fully-built crates that tend to take up too much space and waste natural resources. Specifiers can simply order, track, and receive individual DOURO pieces or a variety of Easels, Wall Boards, Meeting Tables, and Desks without difficult cumbersome shipping crates. The DOURO Collection is in stock and ready to ship in two weeks.
DOURO’s flat-pack design is also quick and easy to assemble. Each product comes with simple components that come together with just a screwdriver. DOURO is specifiable as a cohesive group for larger workspaces, or sold separately for small workspaces and private offices.

Growing up in Seattle, Amy was always exploring the great outdoors but she found a particular thrill in traveling. During a visit to New York City at age 10, she knew that was where she wanted to live. After high school she left her home in the Pacific Northwest behind for the great unknown to attend Fordham University in the Bronx. Upon graduation, Amy received a phone call from CNN offering a job opportunity of a lifetime working in television ad sales at Manhattan's Time Warner Center. When a job opportunity in Los Angeles opened up a few years later, Amy couldn't say no to a new adventure back on the west coast. But Seattle eventually called her back home and Amy returned to pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration with the hopes of learning the skills she needed to feed her entrepreneurial spirit. Before graduating, Amy co-founded Paxson Fay with Tessa Andrews in 2015. Amy focuses on marketing strategy, public relations, social media, and partnerships.
colby wood
senior account executive
colby@paxsonfay.com
After graduating from Fordham University in New York City with a major in Communications and Media Studies and a handful of marketing and PR internships, Colby moved to Boston to manage marketing for a small, women-owned, creative consulting agency. While in that role, Colby managed public relations and marketing efforts for some of Boston's most prominent events and public art initiatives, including the Boston Pickle Fair and The Bulfinch Crossing Projections in downtown Boston. Colby gained experience crafting brand stories and identities through social media marketing and creative copywriting, seen through the successful launch of a premier Massachusetts adult-use dispensary and the revamp of her agency's own website. After two years, Colby decided it was time to figure out what the West Coast was all about. Looking to blend her marketing experience with her passion for design and architecture, Colby found Paxson Fay, where she focuses on social media strategy and management and public relations.
paige childs
communication specialist
paige@paxsonfay.com
As a child, Paige wanted to be an architect; but after falling in love with storytelling, the power of words, and yes, the show West Wing, she decided to pursue journalism at The George Washington University in the nation’s capital. Following graduation, Paige crafted communications for the beauty and banking industries. Craving space for creativity, she joined the small team that would reopen the congressionally designated National Children’s Museum. There, she played an integral role in establishing the museum’s brand, bringing it to life across digital channels, including social media, email, and advertising. After nearly eight years in DC, she decided it was time for a change of scenery. Having grown fond of the title Washingtonian, she made the cross-country move to Washington State. She landed in Seattle at Paxson Fay, where in true full circle fashion she is the architect of social media and public relations strategies for our architecture and design clients.
